Las Mujeres de la Raza

 

The organization de la Mujeres de la Raza is committed to the following goals/objectives:

* To establish and maintain an environment where Chicanas/Latinas can provide support to one another in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.

* To educate and enlighten the campus and its surrounding community in the struggle against the "machismo" that exists in the mainstream society and our culture by uniting amongst ourselves as mujeres and working conjunction with our fellow hombres.

* To foster an environment which empowers Chicanas/Latinas so that hey may be a significant force in our community and our nation.

* To aid Chicanas/Latinas and their children in the fight for an end to physical, mental, and emotional abuse through reaching out to those who are being abuse, those who have been abused and those who may be abuse in the future by sponsoring and joining local, state-wide, and concepts are to stop the degradation of woman and their children.
